Two months passed in a blur of joy, preparations, and gentle care. The mansion had been transformed into a cozy sanctuary, filled with baby gear, soft blankets, and non-stop laughter.
By now, Disha was in her ninth month, her radiant bump showing just how close she was to meeting her little one. Aadhya was right behind her in her seventh month, glowing with maternal warmth and already being doted on by everyone in the family.
It was a quiet, lazy Tuesday afternoon. The bright mid-day sun streamed through the sheer curtains of the grand living area. Aadhya and Disha were curled up on the plush velvet sofa, wrapped in cozy throw blankets, watching a lighthearted romantic comedy on the big screen. Riya was nearby at the dining table, organizing a stack of baby shower cards and keeping an eye on the two expectant mothers.
"disha, pass the popcorn," Aadhya giggled, resting a hand on her round 7-month belly as the baby gave a little kick.
"Here you go-" Disha started, reaching over toward the bowl on the coffee table.
Suddenly, Disha froze mid-sentence. Her breath caught in her throat. A sharp, intense tightening hit her abdomen, followed immediately by a sudden, undeniable gush of warm fluid soaking through her dress.
"Oh... oh gosh," Disha gasped softly, her hand flying to her stomach as her eyes widened in shock.
Aadhya turned, noticing the sudden change in her voice. "disha? What happened?"
"bhabhi... Riya..." Disha murmured, her voice trembling slightly as another contraction rippled through her. "My... my water just broke."
Riya dropped the pen she was holding. She was on her feet in a split second, rushing over to the couch. "Okay! Stay calm, bhabhi. Don't panic. Take deep breaths."
Riya immediately pulled out her phone and speed-dialed Aryan.
At his office, Aryan was in the middle of reviewing a financial report when his phone vibrated across the sleek oak desk. Seeing Riya's caller ID, he picked it up on the first ring.
"Riya? Is everything okay?"
"Aryan bhai, get home right now!" Riya's voice came through, urgent yet steady. "Disha's water broke! It's happening!"
Aryan stood up so fast his leather office chair flew backward, crashing against the glass partition. His heart hammered wildly against his ribs. "I'm coming! Ten minutes-keep her comfortable!"
He didn't wait for his assistant or grab his coat. Aryan sprinted straight to his car, his mind racing faster than the engine as he maneuvered through the afternoon traffic. The fear, anticipation, and sheer adrenaline coursing through his veins made every red light feel like an eternity.
Within eight minutes, his car screeched to a halt in the mansion driveway. He burst through the front doors, rushing straight to the living room.
"Disha!" Aryan breathed out, rushing to her side.
Disha was leaning against the cushions, holding her bump, sweating slightly as a contraction passed. "Aryan... he's coming early," she whispered, giving him a tearful, nervous smile.
"I'm right here, sweetheart. I've got you," Aryan said tenderly. Without a moment's hesitation, he carefully scooped Disha up into his arms, minding her heavy bump, and headed straight for the car. Riya grabbed the pre-packed hospital bag, while Aadhya followed closely behind, reassuring Disha every step of the way.
As Aryan carefully settled Disha into the back seat, he started driving.
"Reyansh! Drop whatever you're doing and come to City Hospital!" aadhya called out over the sound of the starting engine. "Disha's in labor!"
On the other end of the line, Reyansh dropped his pen. His voice shook with a mix of shock and overwhelmed joy. "What?! Right now? I'm leaving the office this second-I'll call Vihaan and Krish!"
The hospital corridor was a whirlwind of activity. Disha was immediately rolled into the labor ward, with Aryan holding her hand tightly, refusing to leave her side for even a single second.
Within thirty minutes, the entire family had assembled in the waiting area.
Reyansh was pacing back and forth across the polished tiles, his hands shoved deep into his pockets, his heart beating with an emotional intensity he hadn't felt in years. He looked at the closed double doors of the labor room, his mind swirling with thoughts of how much they had all overcome to reach this beautiful moment.
Vihaan clapped a steady hand on Reyansh's shoulder. "Bhai, sit down. You're going to put a hole in the floor."
"I can't, Vihaan," Reyansh admitted, his voice thick with unexpressed emotion, his eyes glistening. "Seeing Disha like this... knowing Aryan is in there becoming a father... it's like watching our family finally bloom after such a long winter. I'm just... I can't even put it into words."
Aadhya sat beside Riya, holding her own belly, a bright, emotional smile on her face. "Our little one is on his way."
Inside the delivery room, time seemed to stand still. Aryan held Disha's hand in a vice-like grip, whispering steady words of love and encouragement into her ear, wiping the sweat from her brow as she fought through the pain.
"You're doing so amazing, Disha... just a little more, my love... I'm right here with you."
And then, after one final, grueling push, a sharp, clear sound filled the sterile room.
A high-pitched, loud, healthy cry.
The doctor lifted a tiny, miracle of life into the air. "It's a healthy baby boy!"
Aryan's breath hitched. Tears instantly flooded his eyes, blurring his vision as he stared at the tiny creature squirming in the doctor's gloved hands. A wave of profound, indescribable love washed over his entire soul.
The nurses quickly cleaned the newborn and wrapped him in a soft blue swaddle blanket before gently placing him into Aryan's waiting arms.
Aryan lowered his head, his hands trembling as he held his son for the very first time. The baby's tiny fingers reached out blindly, brushing against Aryan's thumb.
"Hey there, little guy..." Aryan whispered, a choked sob escaping his throat.
He leaned down softly, pressing a lingering, warm kiss onto his baby boy's tiny forehead, inhaling the sweet, pure scent of newborn life.
With tears streaming down his cheeks, Aryan turned toward the bed. He walked over slowly and sat beside a glowing, exhausted Disha. He carefully lowered the baby onto her chest so she could hold him.
Aryan leaned in close, wrapping his arm around her shoulders, and pressed a deep, tender kiss onto Disha's forehead, leaving his lips there for a long moment as their tears mingled.
"Thank you," Aryan whispered into her hair, his voice rich with raw love and gratitude. "Thank you for this miracle, Disha. I love you so much."
"He looks just like you, Aryan," Disha murmured weakly, looking up at him with pure bliss in her tired eyes.
A few minutes later, after the nurses had completed their checks, the doors to the private room swung open.
Aryan stepped out holding the blue bundle, his face illuminated by a radiant, proud fatherly smile that made his eyes shine like stars.
"It's a boy," Aryan announced softly, his voice trembling with joy.
Reyansh was the first to step forward. He looked at Aryan, then down at the sleeping baby wrapped in the blanket. Tears finally spilled over Reyansh's cheeks. Without a word, he pulled Aryan into a tight, emotional brotherly embrace, being mindful of the baby.
"Congratulations," Reyansh choked out, patting Aryan's back with deep pride. "I am so, so proud of you, brother."
"Go on, Reyansh ... hold your nephew," Aryan smiled, carefully transferring the little prince into Reyansh's waiting arms.
Reyansh cradled the tiny baby against his chest, looking down at the delicate features. The powerful, protective instincts of an uncle washed over him entirely. "Welcome to the world, little one," Reyansh whispered softly, his heart overflowing. "You have an entire family ready to love you beyond measure."
One by one, the rest of the family swarmed around them with beaming smiles and tearful eyes.
Aadhya squealed softly, gently touching the baby's soft cheek. "Oh, he is absolutely perfect! Look at his tiny hands!"
Vihaan laughed, wiping a stray tear from his eye. "Another boy in the house! We're officially outnumbered now, girls!"
"Congratulations, Aryan bhai" Riya and Krish exclaimed together, giving him warm hugs as the corridor filled with quiet celebrations, joyful laughter, and shared blessings.
Inside the room, as the entire family gathered around Disha and her newborn son, the room was filled with an overwhelming sense of completeness. The shadows of the past were completely forgotten, replaced by the bright, beautiful light of new life and unbreakable love.
.
.
The quiet morning light filtered softly through the bedroom curtains as Aryan carefully adjusted the warm blanket over Disha. It had been a week since they brought their baby boy home, and the once-quiet mansion had transformed into a haven of soft baby coos, gentle lullabies, and unconditional warmth.
In just seven days, Aryan had completely embraced fatherhood. The man who once carried the weight of the world on his shoulders now found his greatest peace in the small, late-night routine with his son.
"Aryan... is he awake?" Disha murmured softly, stirring from her sleep as she rubbed her eyes.
"Shh... go back to sleep, Disha," Aryan whispered gently, sitting on the edge of the bed with the baby cradled securely against his chest. "I've got him."
Despite working from home and managing his responsibilities, Aryan had refused to let Disha exert herself. He made sure she got plenty of rest to recover. From waking up at odd hours in the middle of the night to burping the baby after feedings, Aryan was right there for every single moment.
The baby boy, whom they affectionately called little Aarav, had already developed a special bond with his father. Whenever aarav grew fussy or whimpered, the moment Aryan picked him up and gently rested the baby's tiny head against his chest, listening to his heartbeat, the little one would instantly quiet down and settle into a peaceful nap.
Aryan smiled down at his son, who was looking up at him with wide, innocent dark eyes.
"Look who's wide awake," Aryan cooed in a low, gentle voice, lightly bopping Aarav's tiny nose with his finger. Aarav let out a tiny, soft squeak, his little fingers wrapping tightly around Aryan's pinky finger.
Disha leaned back against her pillows, watching the two of them with a heart full of love. "He really is attached to you, Aryan. He barely cries when you're holding him."
"Because he knows his dad is here," Aryan said softly, turning to give Disha a warm, affectionate kiss on her forehead. He then carefully checked Aarav's swaddle. "Alright, little guy, time for a quick diaper change before your mom takes over for feeding."
With practiced ease-having mastered the skill over the past week-Aryan laid Aarav on the changing table, talking to him in a soft, soothing tone the entire time to keep him calm. He handled everything with gentle care, ensuring Disha didn't have to lift a finger.
Downstairs in the living area, the atmosphere was equally serene yet brimming with careful attention. With Aadhya now entering her seventh month, the house had turned into a double-zone of extra care and affection.
Reyansh sat at the dining table, reviewing a file while sipping his morning coffee. However, his focus constantly shifted to the hallway. The moment he heard footsteps, he immediately set his cup down.
Aadhya was slowly walking down the short flight of stairs, hand resting comfortably under her growing bump.
Before she could even reach the third step, Reyansh was already standing at the bottom, offering his hand. "Aadhya, go slow. Why didn't you call me or Krish to help you down?"
Aadhya giggled, taking his hand gently. "ansh, I'm seven months pregnant, not made of glass! I can manage three steps."
"I don't care," Reyansh said sternly, though his eyes held pure warmth as he guided her carefully to the cushioned armchair, making sure extra pillows were placed behind her back. "You need to take it easy. No unnecessary exertion."
Just then, Aryan came downstairs holding a freshly changed, happily cooing Aarav, with Disha walking slowly behind him.
"Good morning, everyone," Disha smiled, sitting down next to Aadhya.
Reyansh immediately looked up, his expression softening as his eyes fell on his baby nephew. "Look who's awake."
Reyansh walked over to Aryan, gently holding out his arms. Aryan carefully transferred the baby into Reyansh's secure hold. As soon as Reyansh held Aarav, the powerful, stoic businessman completely melted.
"Morning, little one," Reyansh murmured softly, cradling Aarav with expert care while checking on Aadhya at the same time. "Are you behaving for your mother and father?"
Aadhya smiled, placing a hand on her bump as she watched her brother hold his nephew. "He looks so much like Aryan bhaiya when he smiles, doesn't he, Reyansh?"
"He does," Reyansh agreed softly, looking up from the baby to glance at Aryan, Disha, and Aadhya. "He has the best of all of us."
Vihaan walked into the living room holding a tray of warm turmeric milk and fresh juices, handing a glass to both Disha and Aadhya under Reyansh's watchful eye.
"Here you go, the two official queens of the house," Vihaan teased, sitting on the armrest of the couch. "Reyansh bhai made a whole checklist for your nutrition today, Aadhya. If you miss one fruit, I'm getting blamed!"
"I heard that, Vihaan," Reyansh said without looking up, carefully swaying Aarav back and forth until the baby let out a cute, sleepy yawn.
Everyone burst into warm laughter.
Aryan sat beside Disha, placing a protective arm around her waist and pulling her close to his side. She rested her head on his shoulder, feeling the steady rhythm of his breathing. Looking around the room-at Reyansh holding little Aarav with such tenderness, Aadhya glowing and well-cared-for, and the whole family together in complete harmony-Aryan felt a profound sense of gratitude.
The fear and silence of the past were completely gone, replaced by a life rich in peace, laughter, and an unbreakable love that kept growing deeper with every passing day.
