First of all so happy for 50k view........Thank you all

She stood still, shock freezing her in place. Her voice came out broken.

"Why... why can't you marry me?"

Vedansh swallowed hard. "Listen... nee manchiki cheptunna, please..."

"This is for your sake please.."

She shook her head, tears spilling.
"First nuvvu naaku cheppu endhuku ani. Appudu nenu chepta-adi na manchika leda nee foolishness aa ani," Anu said, her voice trembling but firm.

"First you tell the reason then I will say is it for my sake or your foolishness."

Flashback

"Why did you call at this time? Is everything fine, Mamaya?" Vedansh asked anxiously.

Krishna sighed deeply, fake tears welling up in his eyes.
"No... nothing is fine. You always wonder why I am against your relationship, don't you? Honestly, I would have happily let you marry Anu-if it wasn't about her life."

Vedansh stiffened.
"What are you talking, Mamaya? Say it clearly."

"When you graduated, I thought of matching your horoscope with Anu's. I did," Krishna said slowly. "And what I found... if you both marry, Anu's life will be at risk. She will die within one month."

Vedansh stepped back, disbelief flashing across his face.
"What nonsense is this? I won't believe it."

"I knew you wouldn't," Krishna said calmly. "That's why I called the pandit."

The pandit stepped forward and repeated the same words. Every sentence felt like a hammer crushing Vedansh's chest.

Vedansh's voice broke, desperation taking over.
"If marriage is the problem, then fine-we won't marry. If we don't marry, her life will be safe, right?"

The pandit shook his head.
"No. If two souls are destined to unite, marriage or no marriage doesn't matter."

Something inside Vedansh snapped.

He grabbed the pandit by his collar.
"Then why are you here? Tell me a remedy! Anything! I can't live without her. Adi lekunda nenu bratakalenu(i can't live without her). Without her, even breathing feels impossible-then how do you expect me to live?"

Krishna rushed between them.
"Ved, leave him. There is no remedy. The only solution... is that you must leave Anu."

The words killed him.

Vedansh staggered back, hollow, shattered, and walked out without another word.

Vedansh POV

Leave her? How do I leave my own life?

She wasn't just love-she is my breath, my peace, my god.

But what if staying meant killing her?

Even a 0.00001% risk was too much. I couldn't gamble with her life.

That night, I went to her room silently. She was asleep, peaceful, unaware that her world was about to break.

I fell at her feet.

I held them in my trembling hands and kissed them, tears soaking her skin.
Forgive me... forgive me for choosing your life over our love.

From that day, every time she spoke about our marriage, I looked away.
Every time she smiled at me, it shattered my heart a little more.
Every normal conversation felt like poison because I knew the truth and she didn't.

She thought I was ignoring her.
She thought I was changing.

But the truth was-I was dying every single day so she could live.

One month.
One month of pushing her away.
One month of pain that tore me apart more than it ever hurt her.

Because loving her meant letting her hate me.

And I chose that hell... just to keep her alive.

Flashback ends

Vedansh finished everything. Every word. Every wound.

Anu listened without interrupting. Then... she chuckled softly, a sad, hollow sound.

"I didn't think you would believe silly things like this," she said, wiping her tears.

Vedansh shook his head, eyes red.
"It's not silly for me. Your life is not silly."

She inhaled slowly. "Wait. I'll prove it."

She picked up her phone and dialed a number from different sim.

"Namaskaram, pantulu garu," Anu said calmly.
Pantulu means pandit and garu means "ji" it uses when we add respect like pandit ji

the pandit doesn't know she is anu. As he is famous and deal mostly in online also so he didn't doubt her.

"Actually, na marriage undi maa Horoscope matching cheyyinchali. Can I send details?"

"Actually i am marrying and wants to check horoscope can I send u now.."

"Yes, amma, pampandi," the pandit
replied.

"Yeah sure.."

She sent both their birth details-hers and Vedansh's.

There was a pause.

The pandit's voice came back cheerful.
"Amma... ee rendu jathakalu chala adbhutamga kalustayi. Shiv-Parvati laanti jodi. Very rare match."

"That's so strange this is so good match like exactly shiv parvati...very rare."

Vedansh froze.

Anu's fingers trembled as she clenched the phone.
"pantulu garu....actually na jatakam lo dosham undi mrityu gandam undi ani vere pantulu cheparuu.."

"actually different pandit said that i have mrityu dosh" shw wantedly said.

"No ma i will guarantee there is no such thing like that." pandit said.

Here vedansh is getting angry on krishna for fooling him and played with his feelings

"mari Meeru maa bava ki enduku chepparu maa marriage ayithe naa life danger ani?"

There was silence on the other end.

"you--..." He says hesitantly.

"Yes i am anu..krishna's daughter."

that pandit was shocked...

" why did you lie.."

Then, hesitantly, "No, amma... that's not-"

"Tell me the truth."

Anu's voice turned sharp.
" why did you lie to Vedansh?"

The pandit didn't answer.

Her eyes burned.
"I know you won't lie without a reason. Cheppandi. Leda... nenu andariki chepta-mee peru, mee reputation anta ganga lo kalsipodi."

" Say the truth otherwise I will tell your fake side to everyone then no one will believe you."

A long breath.

Then the truth spilled.
"Krishna garu... nannu force chesaru, amma. Ayana cheppinattu cheppanu. Naku vere choice leka."

"Krishna forced me to tell him like that.. there is no such  danger for you it's all a lie."
The call ended.

Silence swallowed the room.

Vedansh's knees weakened. Relief, anger, pain-all of it hit him at once. His eyes filled as he took a step toward Anu, arms opening instinctively.

"Ammu-"

She pushed him back.

"Don't," she said, voice flat but broken.

"Pelli cheskundam ani ready aiyav ga aa ammai toh..po velli chesko.."

"You thought to marry her right..go then you are free from this relationship..go and marry"

"Bujji.."

Before he could speak, she turned away and walked out, heading straight to Kavitha's room.

.

.

.

Anu's grip tightened around Kavitha's saree again, fingers trembling.

"He didn't just lie, atha," she said through tears.
"My father planned it."

Her voice shook with anger now, not just pain.

"He watched Vedansh fall apart and stayed quiet. He watched him beg a pandit for remedies... watched him choose loneliness over love."
She laughed bitterly.
"What kind of father does that to his own daughter?"

Kavitha's throat tightened. She didn't interrupt.

"He knew Vedansh would never doubt a word if my life was involved," Anu continued.
"He used me."

Her shoulders shook harder.

"Why bava loved me this much, atha?" she whispered, broken.
"Why couldn't he trust me and tell me the truth?"

Kavitha placed her palm firmly on Anu's head.

"Because he was taught to protect... not to communicate," she said softly.

Anu shook her head.

"That's not love," she said, tears falling freely.
"That's deciding my fate without asking me."

She wiped her face angrily.

"And my father—"
Her voice cracked.
"—I don't know how to face him again. I don't know how to sit in front of him like nothing happened."

Kavitha took a deep breath, steadying herself.

"Anu," she said gently, "there's something else we need to talk about."

Anu stiffened slightly.

"The baby," Kavitha continued softly.
"How are you planning to tell your parents?"

Anu froze.

For a long moment, she said nothing. Then her eyes filled again—not loudly this time, just fear.

"I can't tell my father," she said quietly.
"I won't."

Kavitha didn't argue.

"He'll turn this into control again," Anu whispered.
"He'll decide things for me. He'll blame Vedansh. He'll break everything further."

Her fingers clenched.

"But amma..."
Her voice softened painfully.
"She deserves to know."

Kavitha nodded.

"How do you want to do it?" she asked.

Anu looked up at her, eyes begging.

"You tell her," she said.
"Please, atha. You talk to her first."

Kavitha's heart ached.

"I'll stand beside you," Anu added quickly.
"But I don't have the strength to start it."

Kavitha pulled her into her chest.

"I will," she promised.
"I won't let anyone scare you anymore."

Anu finally let herself rest again, her forehead pressing into Kavitha's shoulder.

Kavitha closed her eyes, holding her tighter.

Sometimes, she thought,
the deepest wounds aren't caused by hatred—
but by love used the wrong way.

.

.

.

Dinner was unusually quiet.

Anu walked in, pulled out her chair, served herself rice and curry, and started eating.

No pause.
No glance.

Vedansh entered a moment later, sat at the dining table... and waited.

Normally, he wouldn't even touch the plate until Anu served him first. It was their unspoken rule. Her habit. His comfort.

One minute passed.
Two.

Anu continued eating like the world was perfectly fine.

Vedansh cleared his throat softly.

Nothing.

He glanced at her. She didn't look up.

He checked his phone. Kept it aside. Waited again.

Still nothing.

Just then, the maid approached hesitantly.

"Sir... shall I serve?"

Vedansh straightened immediately.
"No," he said too quickly. Then added, trying to sound casual,
"I have some work. I'll eat later."

He got up and walked away.

For a second, Anu's hand froze mid-air.

Just a second.

Then she sighed, scooped another bite, and continued eating.

From the corner, Nidhi had watched the entire drama with wide eyes.

She covered her mouth, giggling.

"Wow," she whispered to herself, then louder,
"Romeo gaaru fasting today?"

Anu shot her a glare.

Nidhi grinned wider.
"Anna waited like it's a movie interval. Poor guy thought you'd turn, serve, smile—cutely."

Anu muttered, not looking up,
"He has hands. He can serve himself."

Nidhi leaned closer, teasing.
"True. But emotional dependency doesn't come with hands."

Anu tried not to smile.

.

.

Vedansh stood outside Kavitha's room long after midnight, knocking softly at first... then helplessly resting his forehead against the door.

"Anu... please," he said, voice breaking. "Just come back to our room. I won't talk if you don't want. I'll sleep on the floor. Just... don't stay away from me."

The door opened slightly-but it was Kavitha, not Anu.

"She's not coming," Kavitha said firmly, stepping out and blocking the doorway. "You've hurt her enough."

"amma, please," Vedansh whispered, folding his hands without realizing it. "I made a mistake, I know. I was scared. I was trying to protect her. Let me explain-"

"She doesn't need explanations now," Kavitha cut in. "She needs space. And sleep."

From inside, a soft sob echoed.

Vedansh's chest clenched. "Anu... I'm right here."

Kavitha didn't move. "Go back, Vedansh. If you care about her even a little, let her breathe."

Defeated, he stepped back, eyes wet, turning away like a man who had lost everything.

Inside the room, Anu sat curled on the bed, tears soaking Kavitha's lap. Kavitha stroked her hair gently  "nanu nella rojulu edipinchadu kada anta easy ga kshaminchanu.."

"He made me suffer for one month na..i will not forgive him that easily."

.

.

Vedansh stood outside Kavitha's room for barely two seconds this time.

That was all his patience had left.

He knocked once, softly—but before anyone could answer, he pushed the door open and slipped inside.

Anu was asleep, curled on the bed, her face relaxed for the first time all day.

He didn't think.
Didn't hesitate.

He bent down, slid one arm under her knees, the other around her back, and lifted her gently into his arms.

She stirred slightly but didn't wake.

Vedansh held his breath, waited.

Nothing.

He exhaled slowly, adjusted her closer to his chest, and walked out as quietly as possible.

By the time he reached his room, his jaw hurt from smiling like an idiot.

He laid her beside him, pulled the blanket over her, and moved her saree pallu aside and gave wet smooches on her belly... "Daddy loves you baby...i know your amma is angry and I will manage her...you enjoy your private space.. don't trouble your amma." he said and laid down too—one arm instinctively wrapping around her waist, like muscle memory never left.

Midnight.

Anu suddenly jerked awake.

Her hand flew to her mouth.

Vedansh woke instantly.

Before he could even ask—

She leaned forward and vomited.

Right. On. His. T-shirt.

There was a stunned second.

Anu froze, eyes wide, horror flooding her face.

"Oh my God——"
She scrambled back, voice shaking.

He sat up, holding her steady as she gagged again.

Without a word, he slipped off his ruined T-shirt, tossed it aside like it meant nothing, and pulled her closer.

"are you okay?" he said softly.

He lifted her again—no hesitation, no disgust—and carried her in.

She vomited more over the sink, trembling, tears spilling from embarrassment and exhaustion.

"I'm sorry," she cried weakly.
"I'm so sorry... this is so embarrassing..."

Vedansh stood behind her, one hand holding her hair back, the other rubbing slow circles on her back.

"Hey," he murmured.
"Look at me."

She shook her head.

"No," she said gently, he turning her face slightly.

"mana madhyalo siggu eppudu nunchi ochinde hmm?"

"From when embarassment came between us?"

He washed her mouth carefully, wiped her face with a towel, his touch unhurried, patient.

When she gagged again, he didn't flinch.

He just held her tighter.

She finally broke down, crying properly now.

"I ruined your shirt," she sobbed.

He chuckled softly.
"I have more. Don't worry."

He helped her rinse again, then carried her back to bed, tucked her in, and went to change into a fresh T-shirt.

When he returned, she was still awake, eyes shiny.

Vedansh made her drink water and lay beside her, pulled her into his chest.

"Nenu inka kopamgane unna.."

"i am still angry with you."

"hmm sare rep continue chei ne alugudu..ipuudu poduko you need rest," he replied, kissing her hair.

"Hmm ok you continue you banter tomorrow but now sleep you need rest."

She clutched his shirt this time.

.

.

Nidhi sat on the edge of the bed, twisting the corner of her pillow absentmindedly. Rahul lay beside her, one arm behind his head, staring at the ceiling.

She glanced at him, hesitant.
"Are you angry at annaya?" she asked softly.

Rahul turned his head toward her.
"No," he said immediately.

She blinked. "Not at all?"

He shook his head.
"Not for what you're thinking."

Nidhi leaned closer, curious.
"Then?"

Rahul sighed, sitting up slightly.

"I was angry that he didn't tell Anu earlier," he said honestly.
"That's it."

He rubbed his face with his palm.

"I know him, Nidhi. I know that mad obsession he has with my sister," he added with a faint smile.
"That man breathes only Anu. Cheating? Leaving her for someone else?"
He scoffed.
"That's not even possible for him."

Nidhi nodded slowly.

"But—" Rahul continued, voice firmer now,
"—he should've trusted her enough to tell her the truth. He should've told her before all this shit drama."

His jaw tightened.

"She suffered today. Badly," he said quietly.
"And the worst part?"
He looked at Nidhi.
"She's pregnant."

Nidhi's eyes widened.
"Hmm..."

"Yeah," Rahul said softly.
"So whatever his intentions were—good or bad—keeping her in the dark was wrong."

There was a small silence.
